Miramar High School Alumni Picnic 2025: A Day of Reunion and Giving Back

The Miramar High School Alumni Picnic on Sunday, August 3, 2025, was a day filled with laughter, memories, and community spirit. Held at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater, the “Patriot Reunion and Friends” event brought together alumni from 21 graduating classes, spanning from 1970 to 2001. We had the distinct pleasure of capturing the essence of the day through candid shots of classmates reconnecting.

The event, masterfully organized by Corrine Salmon, Roberta Shephard, Ray Butler, and Ayata Lyttle, was a testament to the strong bond of the Miramar alumni community. The sound system, provided by Surf and Turf Productions INTL’, kept the energy high with entertainment from talented Miramar High School alumni.

A highlight of the day was the generous donation made by the alumni. A check for $10,000 was officially presented to Miramar High School’s current principal, Mr. Winfred Porter Jr., on behalf of all the alumni. This moment underscored the deep commitment of former students to the school’s future. Among the distinguished guests present was Dr. Valerine Wanza, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at Broward County Public Schools.
