Late April 2022 the news of Kendrick Lamar’s fifth solo studio album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, was released on social media. The much anticipated album dropped on Friday, May 13. The 18 song double disc project allows Kendrick highlighting his insecurities and beliefs. It is a well crafted project with great depth and social commentary over banging beats.
While Kendrick did drop his release overshadowed the release of artists like Black Youngster and Black Star. After 24 years—Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) and Talib Kweli are back as Black Star with No Fear of Time.
