This episode is lead by Vibez as we take a closer look at domestic abuse
Domestic abuse affects one in every 6-7 men and one in every four women at some point in their lives. 25% of all domestic abuse crimes reported to police were committed against men. According to SafeLives data, only 4.7% of domestic abuse victims receiving assistance from local domestic services are men. According to the NISVS, about 46% of all IPV victims, defined as any contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking victimization by an intimate partner, were men, while 54% were women. What consequences does abuse have on male victims?
Their self-esteem may suffer, and they are more prone to suffer from mental health issues, behavioral issues, social problems, emotional problems, depression, substance abuse, physical injury, and headaches.
